Volume 7, Issue 53
April 19, 2006
Last week's soundJourney with Tibetan Bowl artist Jodi Roberts
was an amazing success with a standing room only crowd. All
who attended were profoundly affected by this wonderful
collaborative effort. We were fortunate to have the event
professionally recorded. The recording is in the mixing stage
now, so hopefully when it's done it will meet our standards of
quality and be available for your listening.
We're also getting closer to the upcoming Retreat to the Amazon
trip. Those who have already committed to this are truly
feeling the excitement in anticipation of the deep growth and
healing that will be what this journey is all about. After the
Amazon part of the trip, there will be an opportunity to travel to
the Andes to experience Machu Picchu and other sacred sites.
See below for more information.
As I mentioned in the last newsletter, this is the perfect time
of the year for a deep systemic detoxification. I've been
working with this for years now, and it never ceases to amaze me how
healing a gift this is to give oneself. There are many ways to
do a detox, some far more effective then others. If you are
interested in giving yourself this deep healing experience, give me
a call at (310) 293-9475 and I'll fill you in on the details.

I have been invited again this summer
to both speak on sound healing and perform a soundJourney at the
Conference on Indigenous Medicine in Iquitos, Peru.
I will be staying in Peru for several
weeks afterwards for further study. Because of the interest people
have expressed to me in my time in Peru, I have decided to open up
the possibility of having others join me in the jungle during this
time.
This is truly
going to be an incredible and very profound experience. It will also
be an amazing adventure! The level of healing that will occur
happens at a depth that is literally life-transforming. Because of
the deep nature of this journey, and because I will be working
closely with every person who joins me, I am limiting this trip to
10-15
committed people. So if you are interested in joining me on
this adventure into healing,
and I'll keep you updated as to the details and requirements for
attending.
Schedule of Upcoming Events:
On Friday, April 21, 2006, a soundJourney event will be held

admittance after 8:20.
"soundJourney is transformation via sound. Using indigenous
instruments combined with modern technology, Richard Grossman
weaves a spell of shamanic sound, vibration, healing, and Love."
Tickets are $25.00 if paid in advance, $30.00 at the door.
Please call Brandy at The Regenesis Center for more information and

Phoenix:
A mythical bird that burned
itself to ashes,
and rose from the ashes
to live again. |
The first Phoenix Rising concert at the Skirball Cultural Center was a
great success that deeply touched all present with the healing, beauty
and Love that was the deepest purpose of the concert. On April 29, 2006, Richard will be
again performing with the extraordinary
Chinese/Tibetan vocalist, Yuan Miao. While quite different from soundJourney, these performances are well worth attending.
When Yuan Miao was a little girl,
people thought she had a speech impediment because she was so quiet.
Under the guidance of her Tibetan grandmother, a spiritual master,
she grew up and learned the power of mantric voice. Eventually,
tragedy led her to the West, where she rose phoenix-like to sing
about the possibility of living in joy despite difficulties—a lesson
she hopes to share with all people.
Inside a spare and humble church,
prepare to embark on an intimate journey, propelled by Miao’s
transcendent mantric voice. Experience the transformational healing
power of sound that began long before language--and touches our true
radiant nature within.
